It is an exciting day when the mailman brings me a box containing books that I wrote.
In all my years working in the corporate world, I never felt the sense of excitement and satisfaction that I do when I can touch and feel the results of a genealogy project in the form of a completed book.
I started working on this version of the Aschbrenner book at the end of November 2020 and worked on it all through 2021 and into the beginning of this year. After investing at least 1,500 hours in the project, it is really fun to see the end results in printed form.
The book is full of the history of our Aschbrenner family. My boys descend from a long line of Fred Aschbrenners. The 1856 immigrant to Marathon County Wisconsin is the progenitor of thousands of descendants who have been included in this book.
Detailed biographies are provided for the families of our direct line from Friedrich Samuel Aschbrenner through Frederick Wilhelm Aschbrenner and Frederick August Helmut Aschbrenner to Selma Cornelia Aschbrenner.
I do know that I am the only one who is this excited about this 728-page book being done, but hopefully a few of you are interested and will want to add it to your collection.
You can purchase a copy in paperback, hardcover, or ePub format through lulu.com using the links below.
