Knut Olson Aldalen (1787-1851)

Knut Olson Aldalen was born in 1787 at the Aldahl farm in Evanger, Hordaland, Norway. He was the child of Ole Hanson Aldalen and Marjo Knutsdat Hermundsdal. Knut Olson Aldahl was baptized on 29 Jul 1787 in Evanger, Hordaland, Norway.

Knut’s mother died in 1789 at the age of 33. Knut was still a toddler at the time of his mother’s death. His dad remarried to Marita Knudsdtr on 14 Nov 1790. Knut grew up with his father, step-mother, and half-siblings at the Aldahl (Aldahlen) farm in Voss, Evanger, Hordaland, Norway. The family was recorded there in the 1801 Census.

When he was about 23-years old, Knut married Jorunn Larsdtr Meland in 1810 in Norway.

1. Ole Knutson Aldahl was born in 1814 in Voss, Evanger, Hordaland, Norway (Aldahl farm). He married Ragnild Torkjelsdtr Ofstedal on 02 Nov 1840 in Voss, Evanger, Hordaland, Norway. He married Brita Simonsdtr Tyssen on 29 Jun 1882 in Evanger, Hordaland, Norway. He died on 04 Feb 1890 in Voss, Evanger, Hordaland, Norway (Aldahl farm).

Knut Olson Aldalen died on 05 Apr 1851 in Voss, Evanger, Hordaland, Norway (Aldahl farm), at the age of 64. He was buried on 12 Apr 1851 in Evanger, Hordaland, Norway.
