In his last journal entry for many months, Floyd gives a summary of what happened on the last day on the USS America. He debarked on the 12th and, for whatever reasons, we don’t hear anything from him for months.

11 August 1918.

Sun Aug 11

Physician.

Four sub attacks in the P.M. but the wonderful work of the destroyers gave all considerable confidence.
